  • 4 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • 1 medium jalapeno (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Assembly

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Non-stick spray or oil spray for greasing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until fully blended and smooth.
  2. Add flavors: Mix in the crumbled bacon, minced jalapeno, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Fill the wontons: Spoon about 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture into the center of each wonton wrapper. Be careful not to overfill to prevent the wrapper from splitting during cooking.
  4. Seal the wontons: Dip your finger into water and run it along the edges of the wonton wrapper. Fold the wrapper over into a triangle shape and gently press the edges to seal tightly.
  5. Prepare the air fryer: Spritz the air fryer basket with non-stick spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the wontons in a single, even layer, working in batches if necessary based on the size of your air fryer.
  6. Air fry the poppers: Lightly spritz the tops of the wontons with oil spray. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and crispy. Subsequent batches may cook faster as the air fryer remains hot.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
