  • Author: Isabella
  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

This No-Bake Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake is a refreshing and creamy dessert that combines zesty orange flavor with a smooth cheesecake filling on a vanilla wafer crust. Perfect for warm days or any occasion when you want a delightful citrusy treat without turning on the oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 12 ounces vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (1/2 stick)

Filling

  • 2 packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature (8 oz. each)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 box orange jello (3 oz.)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of one orange

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Pulse the vanilla wafers in a food processor until they become fine crumbs. Add 1/2 cup granulated sugar and the melted butter, then pulse again until the mixture is well combined and resembles wet sand.
  2. Form the Crust: Generously spray a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan and slightly up the sides. Place the pan in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to set.
  3. Mix Cream Cheese Layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar using a handheld mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Set this aside.
  4. Dissolve the Jello: In a separate bowl, whisk together the orange jello powder and boiling water until the jello completely dissolves. Set this mixture aside.
  5. Whip Cream Mixture: In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and orange zest together until stiff peaks form. Divide this whipped cream into two equal parts.
  6. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the dissolved orange jello mixture. Then fold the other half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well incorporated.
  7. Assemble the Cheesecake: In the chilled springform pan, alternate spreading the cream cheese mixture and the orange jello whipped cream mixture, starting with the cream cheese layer and ending with the whipped cream jello layer.
  8. Chill: Refrigerate the assembled cheesecake for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to allow it to fully set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • For best results, use fresh orange zest to enhance the citrus flavor.
  • Chilling time is essential to achieve the proper texture; do not rush this step.
  • If you don’t have a springform pan, a regular 9-inch cake pan can be used but may be harder to remove the cheesecake from.
  • The crust can be substituted with graham crackers for a different flavor profile.
