  • Author: Isabella
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 Oreo balls 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Melted Snowman Oreo Balls are a festive, no-bake holiday treat combining crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and vanilla frosting, dipped in smooth vanilla almond bark and decorated to resemble adorable snowmen with mini Oreos, chocolate caramels, and colorful sprinkles. Perfect for parties or family gatherings during the winter season.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 40 Regular Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup vanilla frosting

Coating & Decoration

  • 12 ounces vanilla almond bark
  • 24 chocolate-covered caramels
  • 12 mini-Oreos
  • Assorted sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheets: Line two sheet pans with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
  2. Make the Oreo mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, and vanilla frosting. Mix thoroughly until the consistency becomes dough-like, ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Shape balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch diameter balls using your hands. Place the formed balls evenly spaced on the prepared pans. Place the pans in the refrigerator and chill for 15 minutes to firm up the balls.
  4. Melt almond bark: Melt the vanilla almond bark using a double boiler or microwave. Heat gently and stir often until the bark is smooth and free of lumps, suitable for dipping.
  5. Dip Oreo balls: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each Oreo ball into the melted almond bark, allowing any excess coating to drip off before placing back onto the parchment-lined pans.
  6. Add snowman decorations: Before the coating sets, place half a mini-Oreo cookie on top of each coated ball to serve as the snowman’s hat brim. Then, place a chocolate-covered caramel on top of the mini-Oreo half as the hat’s crown.
  7. Create faces and buttons: While the coating is still wet, decorate each snowman with assorted sprinkles to form faces and buttons, adding character and color to each treat.
  8. Chill before serving: Return the decorated Oreo balls to the refrigerator for an additional chill to fully set the coating and decorations for the best presentation and texture.

Notes

  • Use softened cream cheese for easier mixing and smoother texture.
  • If you don’t have vanilla almond bark, white chocolate can be used as a substitute.
  • Be patient while dipping so the chocolate coating remains even and smooth.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • For added fun, customize faces with edible markers or colored icing.
