Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 50 square pretzels
- 50 Hershey’s Hugs chocolates, unwrapped
- 50 M&Ms (holiday-appropriate colors recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare baking sheet: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
- Arrange pretzels and add chocolates: Lay the pretzels on the prepared baking sheet in an even single layer. Place one unwrapped Hershey’s Hug chocolate on top of each pretzel.
- Bake to soften chocolate: Bake the pretzels and chocolates in the oven for 4 to 6 minutes. Watch closely – the chocolates should become shiny and soft but not entirely melted. This is key to getting the right texture.
- Add M&Ms: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately place one M&M on top of each softened Hug. If the chocolates do not seem soft enough to adhere the M&Ms, return the baking sheet to the oven for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Cool and serve: Allow the pretzel hugs to cool completely on the baking sheet so the chocolate can harden and hold the M&M in place. Once cooled, serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
Notes
- For a festive look, select M&Ms colors according to holidays or seasons.
- Be careful not to overbake the chocolates to avoid melting completely, which would cause the M&Ms to slide off.
- Use a silicone baking mat or parchment paper to ensure easy removal and prevent sticking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
