Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
Wrap
- 4 burrito-size tortillas
Instructions
- Combine Filling Ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, add the cooked shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, sliced green onions, and ranch seasoning mix. Stir well to mix all the ingredients evenly.
- Mix Thoroughly. Add the softened cream cheese to the bowl and mash and stir everything together until thoroughly combined into a creamy filling.
- Prepare Tortillas. Lay each burrito-size tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread an even layer of 1/4 of the filling mixture onto each tortilla, leaving approximately an inch border around the edges to avoid spilling when rolling.
- Roll the Tortillas. Carefully roll each tortilla tightly from one end to the other to form pinwheels, ensuring the filling stays inside. Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down on a platter.
- Chill the Rolls. Cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate the rolled pinwheels for at least one hour to allow the filling to set and flavors to meld.
- Slice and Serve. After chilling, remove the rolls from the refrigerator and slice each into 1 to 1 1/2 inch thick pinwheels. Arrange them on a serving platter and enjoy.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to blend easily with the other ingredients.
- For extra flavor, consider warming the tortillas slightly before spreading the filling to make rolling easier.
- These pinwheels can be made a day ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
- Serve with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce for added taste.
- Use gluten-free tortillas to make this recipe gluten-free if desired.
