Description

Delightful and easy-to-make chocolate covered pretzels featuring a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Mini pretzels are dipped in rich dark and creamy white chocolate, then drizzled with contrasting chocolate for a decorative finish, making them an ideal snack or gift for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Pretzels

  • 3 ¾ cups mini pretzels

Chocolate Coating

  • 10 oz dark chocolate melting wafers
  • 10 oz white vanilla melting wafers

Instructions

  1. Reserve Chocolate Wafers: Set aside ⅓ cup each of the white vanilla and dark chocolate melting wafers for later drizzling.
  2. Melt Dark Chocolate: Microwave the remaining dark chocolate wafers in a small bowl until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Dip Pretzels in Dark Chocolate: Dip two cups of mini pretzels one by one into the melted dark chocolate, tapping off any excess chocolate before placing them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  4. Melt White Chocolate: Microwave and melt the remaining white vanilla wafers that were not reserved until smooth.
  5. Dip Pretzels in White Chocolate: Dip 1 ¾ cups of pretzels individually into the melted white chocolate, tapping off excess and placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the coated pretzels until the chocolate hardens.
  7. Drizzle Dark Chocolate: Melt the reserved ⅓ cup of dark chocolate wafers and drizzle them artistically over the white chocolate coated pretzels.
  8. Drizzle White Chocolate: Melt the reserved ⅓ cup of white vanilla wafers and drizzle them over the dark chocolate coated pretzels.
  9. Final Chill: Return all pretzels to the fridge to allow the drizzles to harden completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • Tap off excess chocolate to avoid thick clumps and ensure even coating.
  • Microwave chocolate in short bursts, stirring between to avoid burning.
  • Store finished pretzels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle sea salt or festive sprinkles over the pretzels before the chocolate sets.
