Description
Deliciously golden and buttery Cheese Stuffed Crescent Rolls made with string cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough, seasoned with garlic and onion powder, and perfectly air-fried for a quick and savory snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Rolls
- 1 tube crescent roll dough
- 4 string cheese sticks
Butter Garlic Seasoning
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Fresh minced parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the dough and cheese: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Slice each string cheese stick in half to create smaller pieces for stuffing.
- Stuff the crescent rolls: Place one half of a string cheese stick at the wide end of a dough triangle. Fold the sides of the dough over the cheese, then roll the dough up completely sealing the cheese inside. Repeat this process for all dough triangles.
- Make the seasoned butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir well to blend the flavors.
- Brush crescent rolls with butter: Using a brush, coat all sides of the stuffed crescent rolls evenly with the seasoned butter mixture. Reserve any leftover butter for after cooking.
- Air fry the crescent rolls: Arrange the rolls in a single layer in the basket of your air fryer. Depending on your air fryer’s size, you may need to cook them in batches. Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 6 minutes or until the rolls turn golden brown and flaky.
- Finish and serve: Remove the rolls from the air fryer and immediately brush them with the remaining seasoned butter. Sprinkle freshly minced parsley on top for a bright, fresh garnish. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute string cheese with mozzarella sticks or other mild cheeses for variation.
- Ensure to seal the dough edges tightly to prevent cheese from leaking during cooking.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 12-15 minutes until golden.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of dried Italian herbs to the butter mixture if desired.
