Ingredients
Scale
Chips
- 1 bag salt and vinegar kettle chips (approximately 200 grams)
Meats
- 6 slices prosciutto, torn into smaller pieces
- 8 slices genoa salami (or spicy genoa salami), sliced into bite sized pieces
Cheeses
- ½ brick brie (approximately 125 grams), cut into ½ inch pieces
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Other Ingredients
- ½ cup fig jam
- ½ cup hot honey, for drizzling
- 3 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s at the perfect temperature for melting the cheese without burning the chips.
- Arrange Chips: Pour the entire bag of salt and vinegar kettle chips onto a large rimmed baking tray or sheet pan and spread them out evenly into a single layer to create a base for the toppings.
- Add Parmesan Cheese: Sprinkle half of the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the chips to add a savory flavor and cheese base.
- Layer Meats and Brie: Distribute the torn prosciutto slices, bite-sized genoa salami pieces, and chunks of brie evenly over the chips and parmesan, ensuring every chip gets some savory and creamy toppings.
- Add Fig Jam: Using a spoon, dollop the fig jam across the chips and toppings in small amounts to add sweetness and complement the salty meats and cheese.
- Bake: Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheeses melt nicely and the toppings are warmed through.
- Finish and Garnish: Remove the nachos from the oven immediately. Drizzle hot honey over the top, sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese evenly, then garnish with thinly sliced fresh basil leaves for a fresh, aromatic finish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Feel free to substitute kettle chips with any sturdy, flavored chip to support the toppings.
- Adjust the amount of hot honey to your desired level of sweetness and heat.
- For a vegetarian version, omit the meats and increase the cheese and jam.
- Basil is optional but adds a fresh herbal note that balances the flavors.
- Serve immediately after baking to enjoy the melted cheese texture and warm toppings.
