- Mayonnaise or butter, enough to spread thinly on bread slices
- 2 to 3 slices sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer. Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat to ensure even cooking for your sandwich.
- Prepare the bread and cheese. Place the bread slices on a cutting board. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or butter on one side of each slice. Flip one slice so the mayo side is down, then layer 2 to 3 slices of sharp cheddar cheese on top.
- Assemble the sandwich. Place the other slice of bread on top of the cheese with the mayo side facing outwards, creating the sandwich ready for air frying.
- Cook the sandwich in the air fryer. Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese begins to melt and the bread starts browning. Flip the sandwich carefully and continue air frying for another 2 to 5 minutes until cheese is fully melted and both sides are golden brown.
- Serve. Remove the sandwich from the air fryer, slice as desired, and serve immediately while warm and gooey.
